Our Story
UPTOWN Barbers was founded in 2019 by three barbers who shared a vision for proper men's grooming in Sydney CBD. Omid, Tony, and Ray each brought years of skill and passion to the table, and together they set out to build a barbershop that put craft, consistency, and genuine service above everything else.
It started with a single chair at The Rocks, steps from Circular Quay and the Sydney Harbour. Word spread quickly. Clients came back week after week, bringing their mates along. That momentum led to a second location at St James Arcade near Martin Place, followed by a third inside the historic Dymocks Building on George Street. Each shop carries the same DNA: sharp work, relaxed atmosphere, and barbers who genuinely care about the result.
Today, UPTOWN Barbers is one of Sydney's most awarded barbershops with 3,896+ five star reviews across all three locations. Precision skin fades, classic scissor cuts, hot towel shaves, every service gets the same attention to detail that built our reputation from day one.
